Meet the Editor

Hello! I’m Allison Erin Wright, a full-time editor specializing in fiction, and I’ve been editing professionally since 2015.

With an educational background in storytelling (BA Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California), I excel at finding ways to elevate stories to their highest potential. I offer story editing at a few different levels, including in-depth developmental edits, manuscript evaluations, and outline critiques. I also love copy editing and proofreading, and I’m happy to be a one-stop editing shop for my clients (although I always advocate for an extra set of fresh eyes).

My philosophy when it comes to editing is to help make each story the best possible version of itself. I would never suggest changing a story on a fundamental level unless specifically asked to do so. And on the small scale, I’m not such a stickler for the rules that I don’t know it’s sometimes best to break them. It’s important to me to understand your intentions as an author before I begin, so my advice is always highly personalized. I want to help you write the story you want to write—in the most engaging, compelling, and impactful way possible.
